Our Yellowstone Winter Photography Workshop is designed to place you in the best locations at the best times of day. From the geothermal wonders of the park's interior to the wildlife-rich valleys of the north, every day offers extraordinary photographic opportunities and unforgettable experiences.

Travel deep into Yellowstone aboard a comfortable snow coach, providing exclusive access to spectacular thermal areas that are inaccessible to regular vehicles during winter. Photograph iconic locations such as Old Faithful, Fountain Paint Pots, and other steaming geothermal basins surrounded by fresh snow—an incredible contrast of ice, steam, and vibrant colours.

In the northern range, explore the legendary Lamar Valley, often called America's Serengeti, where winter reveals Yellowstone's wildlife at its most dramatic. Search for wolves, bison, elk, bighorn sheep, foxes, coyotes, river otters, bald eagles, trumpeter swans, and, with a bit of luck, even elusive wolverines or mountain lions. Animals are easier to spot against the snowy landscape, making winter one of the best seasons for wildlife photography.

Unlike larger tours, our photography trip is intentionally designed for maximum comfort and photographic flexibility.

In the northern section of the park, we travel in a spacious Chevrolet Suburban, where every participant enjoys their own window seat for unobstructed wildlife viewing and photography. The vehicle allows us to stop quickly and safely whenever photographic opportunities arise, giving everyone the freedom to enter and exit comfortably without feeling rushed.

During our three full days exploring Yellowstone's interior, we travel by snow coach, with two seats per participant, so there is ample room for cameras, long lenses, backpacks, and winter clothing. Snow coaches provide the ideal photography platform, allowing us to stop frequently at scenic locations and giving participants quick access to photograph Yellowstone's spectacular geothermal landscapes.

Throughout the trip, you'll receive continuous photographic instruction in the field. Whether it's wildlife behaviour, camera settings, composition, exposure, or making the most of changing winter conditions, personalized coaching is available at every location to help photographers of all skill levels create their strongest images.
